Learn how to play and how scoring works

Open the puzzle

Navigate to stonkbattle at 7:00 AM ET on any trading day (or Monday for the weekly challenge, or the first trading day of the month for the monthly challenge).

Rank the securities

You'll see 5 securities. Drag-and-drop (or tap-to-select) them into order:

  • #1 = the security you think will move the most (by % change)
  • #5 = the security you think will move the least

Mark direction

For each security, mark Up or Down: your prediction of whether the price will be higher or lower at the scoring time.

Lock in your prediction

Hit "Lock in my prediction". The button shows your current score multiplier (100%, 80%, or 60%) based on how early you submitted.

Once locked in, no changes are allowed.

Check results

  • Daily: Results appear at 4:30 PM ET (30 minutes after market close, allowing time for market data providers to settle closing prices)
  • Weekly: Results appear at 4:30 PM ET on Friday
  • Monthly: Results appear at 4:30 PM ET on the last trading day of the month

💡 Tips

  • ✓ Submit early to maximize your score multiplier
  • ✓ Direction points are worth less than rank points. Nail the ordering.
  • ✓ Build a daily streak for the 🔥 badge (cosmetic only, but prestigious)
